The axe measures 15.5 inches from top to bottom, and the blade is eight inches long. It is perfectly balanced and can also be used for tactical field use or self defense. We really appreciate that this axe is made with a nylon reinforced handle that is made with 30% fiberglass, which makes it lightweight and durable. The only drawback to this axe that we see is that the handle is separate, and is screwed into the blade.
